Dean's Message October 2021

Greetings from the Schmidthorst College of Business!

Our academic year is off to a great start with many opportunities for students and alumni. Students were excited to return to in-person classes and hold live meetings with student organizations, and we were delighted to welcome many alumni and friends for Homecoming.

The Schmidthorst College Student Ambassadors hosted several student engagement events during the month of September:

Early this month, the Women in Business Leadership student organization hosted a memorial service for Paige Redlin, a former Schmidthorst MBA student who passed away in June of this year. Many students and faculty gathered to honor Paige’s memory and the impact she had on so many lives. She will not be forgotten.

The Schmidthorst College is excited to announce the launch of the Schmidthorst Alumni & Friends Network. This private network is intended to help Schmidthorst alumni and friends of the College reconnect with former classmates, find new ways to engage with the Schmidthorst College, and network with other alumni. Discover how you can join the Schmidthorst Alumni & Friends Network.

We are excited to announce that E-Week will be held April 18-22, 2022. The theme is “Turning Lemons into Lemonade,” and the 2022 Entrepreneur-in-Residence is Mark Berman, CEO of Compliglobe. The keynote speaker for the Sebo Series in Entrepreneurship is Tom Morris, bestselling author of "Plato’s Lemonade Stand: Stirring Change into Something Great." Read about the 2022 E-Week.

Warm Regards,
Ray Braun ‘80
