Entrepreneurship Week April 6-10

Once again, the entrepreneurial spirit comes alive at Bowling Green State University as we celebrate innovation in business during our annual Entrepreneurship Week (E-Week) with a host of interactive events and activities.

The week kicks off with a breakfast with guest speaker, Bob Battalia, our Entrepreneur in Residence for the week. Each day will include a lunch and learn with a guest speaker focusing on various topics regarding entrepreneurship.

The Hatch, similar in format to Shark Tank, will be held on April 8, 6 – 8 p.m., in The Stroh Center and we anticipate more than 3,000 cheering fans supporting our nine Hatchlings as they present their business ideas to Alumni Investors in hopes of receiving start-up funds for their businesses. On Thursday, April 9, we will induct four members into our Dallas-Hamilton Hall of Fame. Read about this year’s inductees.

We will wrap up the week with our grand finale event, the Sebo Series in Entrepreneurship, with a focus on Disruptive Forces in Business. The keynote presenter will be Jeffrey Taylor, founder of Monster.com, presenting How to Be a Disruptive Force.

Featured presenters will also share their expertise current disruptive forces in the business world. Matt Hlavin, rapid prototype and manufacturing - rp+m will present on 3D printing. Drones will be flying throughout the Lenhart Grand Ballroom as Lou Terse, Partners LLC, speaks on the impact to the business world. Joe McAleese, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, will be presenting on sensory technologies in vehicles.
