Department of Management Advisory Board

The Department of Management Advisory Council is comprised of BGSU alumni, business professionals, individual supporters, and faculty who support the activities of the Department.  The Council draws upon their professional expertise to advise the Department Chair and faculty on strategic planning, student mentorship, faculty engagement with industry, and alumni affairs.  In addition, the Council promotes the Department by highlighting the achievements of faculty, students, and alumni in their professional network.  The Council convenes at least two times per year.  Members are invited to participate in meetings and provide advice to the Chair between meetings.

Members are selected by the Department Chair.  Prospective members should spend a statement of interest to the Department Chair.  See the successful business professionals who have already made the commitment to serve on the Department of Management Advisory Council.

Previously, he spent 11 years at The Home Depot serving as a District HR Manager, designing and leading customer service initiatives, employee relations, talent development, succession planning, staffing and payroll, performance management, and more. Douglas is also currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organizational Development and Change, Organizational Leadership at BGSU.

Amanda Christian

Position: Senior Vice President, Subcontracts and Procurement
Falls Church, VA


Amanda is the Senior Vice President of Subcontracts and Procurement at CACI International Inc., a professional services and IT solutions company. She is responsible for setting direction, policy and procedures based upon corporate level strategy, and ensuring procurement and subcontracts personnel provide value and contribute to the overall success of the company. She serves on the Boards of Director and is the President Elect of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), a non-profit organization that promotes contract management.

Julie DiBartolomeo

Julie is a Senior HR Representative with 28+ years of human resources management and people management/development experience in the retail, restaurant, convenience store, and banking industries. Her primary strengths lie in employee relations, compliance, coaching, recruiting, performance management, training and organizational development, supervision and facilitating company objectives. He has been with Speedway for over 23 years, and now serving as the Senior HR Specialist.

Jesi Foltz-Goike

Position: Lead Executive Recruiter

Jesi joined Target in 2005 and has been moving up the ranks since. She has been their Lead Executive Recruiter since August 2017, overseeing a regional territory of 80+ stores in all facets of leadership staffing, managing partnerships and communication with multiple stakeholders, utilizing a broad suite of sourcing tools to build and maintain a candidate pipeline, among other duties. She has received several awards including Regional Partnership, Award of Excellence, Regional MVP and Performance Award.

Matt Graden

Jack Hott

Liz has been with Speedway for over 24 years. Currently she serves as their Lead Recruiter, and is responsible for assisting and mentoring Centralized Recruiters with staffing stores within their defined geographic area; as well as working closely with the General Managers, District Managers and Human Resources Advisor to ensure proper execution of the Centralized Recruiting program.

Corrie Jones

Corrie joined Owens Corning as a corporate sourcing intern in 2012, and moved up the ranks to become the company’s Transportation Sourcing Leader for Composites, LTL, and Acquisitions in 2018. She has served in various leadership positions within the firm, namely as Warehouse Leader for Financials and Real Estates, Roofing Divisional Warehouse Leader, and others.

In this role, he provides day-to-day and strategic planning initiatives, and holds full P&L responsibility for this $70 million manufacturing firm with 3 Michigan manufacturing facilities. Prior to joining MTS, he was the VP of General Motors.

In this role, she was accountable for developing and implementing a corrugated packaging strategy valued at $32M, communicating and collaborating with internal packaging stakeholders, initiating cost reduction and continuous improvements projects, and executing other packaging sourcing activities.

Jay Simler

Marissa Tharp

Position: Group Lead - Project & Resource Control

Marissa joined Honda Honda R&D Americas, Inc. as a Resource Forecasting Analyst before moving up to be the Group Lead of Project & Resource Control in July 2020. In this role, she establishes division-wide KPIs and works to align all reporting and dashboards to reach those targets, while leading a team covering several areas of business with the goal of reducing cost and inefficiencies.
