Marketing Department Presented Awards to Top Seniors
Each spring, the Department of Marketing faculty selects the top graduating seniors from its two specializations: Sales and Services Marketing and Marketing. The following seniors were recognized at an awards reception:
Andrew Ludwig – Sales and Services Marketing
- Internships: Technical Sales intern at Eaton and Marketing and Sales intern for Bendix
- Student Organizations and Involvement: Vice President and President of the American Marketing Association and a College of Business Student Ambassador
- Honors and Awards: Placed 1st in the 2014 BGSU Sales Competition, placed 14th out of 134 sales students at the 2015 National Collegiate Sales Competition, awarded the 2015 Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees Leadership Scholarship, and is on the Dean’s List.
Ludwig is currently a sales engineer at Eaton in Austin, Texas. He is pictured with marketing department faculty member Ms. Christine Seiler who teaches sales courses.
Ben Kister – Marketing
- Internships: E-commerce Product Management Intern for Big Lots, Recruiter for Young Entrepreneurs Across America, Branch Manager Intern for Student Painters, Sales and Promotions Intern for Habitat for Humanity, and Operations Intern for BGSU’s Men’s Soccer team.
- Student Organizations and Involvement: Executive Vice President of the American Marketing Association
- Honors and Awards: Dean’s List

Kister is a business analyst at Centric Consulting, an information technology and business management consulting firm which works with different clients providing services like process management, strategy and implementation, data and analytics, application development, and others. He helps his clients “identify their opportunities of improvement and tackle the management of getting these improvements done if that is what the client is looking for.” Kister adds that his key responsibilities at the Columbus business unit are gathering requirements from the client; documenting risks, issues, decisions and action items; communicating with the client on the progress; and developing flow maps for the project scope.
Outside of work, Kister has created a blog www.benkister.com to gain experience in content strategy and development, brand management, and social media marketing.
