Slaughter also appreciates BGSU’s proximity to her home in Detroit. which will help keep her from getting homesick.

Zalar, a 2005 Bowling Green State University doctoral graduate, believes that learning is an ongoing process. The North Olmsted City Schools superintendent came back to BGSU in 2015 and received a master’s in organization development Aug. 6.

  • Class of 2020: Cole Alexander Jun 20, 2016 7:00 AM Incoming freshman Cole Alexander is looking forward to his time at Bowling Green State University, particularly meeting new people, taking intellectually challenging classes and getting involved in intramural sports and activities. The Award of High Distinction Scholarship recipient will also participate in Honors College.

  • Class of 2016 Success Stories: Online program fits busy lifestyle May 7, 2016 7:00 AM Jamie Kaplan graduated from one of BGSU's eCampus programs and is continuing his career as a recreational therapist at a VA hospital working with traumatic brain injury patients. His patients' injuries stem from military accidents, gunshot wounds, car accidents, and strokes and Kaplan is using 3D printing to enhance their therapy.

  • Class of 2016 Success Stories: Forging new business leaders Aug 8, 2016 7:00 AM Nicole Anguilm has always had a knack for organizational leadership, and now she has a master’s degree to back it up. Anguilm lives in Ann Arbor, Mich., and works for Google. She graduated from Bowling Green State University on Aug. 6 with a Master of Organization Development degree.

  • Class of 2016 Success Stories: Ready to Work May 16, 2016 7:00 AM Sales and services marketing student Andrew Ludwig planned to have a job waiting for him upon graduation. Through hard work and planning, he achieved that goal and will start working in July. He will graduate this May as a President’s Award winner for having maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his time at BGSU.

He quickly discovered his path to become a mentor and academic through a double major in psychology and sociology, and residence hall governance.

  • 2016 Success Stories: Connected to BGSU's values Dec 19, 2016 7:00 AM Katie Stygles had her first introduction to Bowling Green State University in 2003 as a member of AmeriCorps. Now, not only is Stygles graduating with a Ph.D. in higher education administration, her connection with BGSU is continuing as she was hired as the coordinator of LGBT Programs in December.

Ribeau President's Leadership Academy and the work it does in the community. Her other passion is science and she hopes to combine the two at BGSU.

Not only did Malkireddy graduate from the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering, but she was able to get acclimated to American culture along the way.

Aurand is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a dual specialization in business analytics and intelligence and management with a focus in human resources.

  • Class of 2016 Success Stories: Putting down roots at BGSU May 23, 2016 7:00 AM Mike Bryce, a double major in music and psychology from Pittsburgh, founded the Roots Music Club in August of 2014. Bryce and other musicians met in 1002 Moore Musical Arts Center on a Tuesday night, and have continued meeting there on Tuesday nights ever since.

Just two and a half years later, Altman is graduating with Honors specializing in speech-language pathology -- oh, and a 4.0 GPA.

A captain in the Washington Township Fire Department in Dublin, Smith has been a full-time firefighter for 19 years. He took all of his BGSU classes online, graduating in three years.

Her fulfilling experiences in caring for others led her to the field of radiologic technology. Earning her degree in August, she will pursue a career in the lucrative field of radiation therapy.

  • Class of 2016 Success Stories: A head start with a Falcon finish Aug 1, 2016 7:00 AM When Allison Artz began her career at BGSU, she was a year ahead of her classmates. She started with enough credits to be considered a sophomore through her participation in College Credit Plus. Artz completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration along with her MBA in just four years.

  • Class of 2020: Bryce Harwood Aug 1, 2016 7:00 AM When Bryce Harwood was trying to figure what college to attend, one ranking really stood out: BGSU’s undergraduate business programs are ranked in the top 5 percent in the U.S. by Bloomberg Businessweek. That really got the attention of Harwood, an incoming freshman in the BGSU Class of 2020.

  • Class of 2016 Success Stories: In hot pursuit of education May 16, 2016 7:00 AM BGSU Police Captain Tim James graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in criminal justice from the College of Health and Human Services on May 6. BGSU Police Chief Monica Moll earned her Ph.D. in political science from Kent State University on May 13.
