|The FLAS Fellowship is a prestigious award that enables the recipient to devote full time to undergraduate study. The Global Studies Center will award five fellowships for the summer. FLAS-eligible languages include: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Persian (Farsi), Portuguese, Swahili, and Turkish. The organization sponsors closely mentored research experiences in a broad range of academic disciplines at 22 research institutions.|
The SMDEP program offers students representing a wide range of economic, cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity a variety of academic and career experiences that will support their dental and medical school career preparation.
All the housing costs and most meals are covered by the program. Scholars are provided with a $600 stipend which is typically distributed at the midway and at the end of the program. Some program sites offer travel assistance awards. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation also provides a needs-based scholarship for travel to and from the program site.

|The NASA Graduate Student Researchers Project awards fellowships for graduate study leading to master's or doctoral degrees, related to NASA research and development, in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering. This 12-month award includes a required internship at the NASA center affiliated with the NASA-sponsored research. The award may be renewed annually, for a maximum of three years.
