Mission Statement
The Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics at Bowling Green State University is committed to recruiting, retaining, and graduating students to enter successful careers. We provide undergraduate students with an innovative, scientifically based educational foundation within a learning community that encourages and respects the viewpoint and lived experience of each person. Students are engaged in addressing the food and nutrition needs of its communities, families, and individuals across the lifespan recognizing varying needs. The Program successfully transitions graduates into a variety of professional settings, such as accredited supervised practice programs, graduate/professional school settings, and the workforce, congruent with their professional goals. Specifically, students are prepared for supervised practice which leads to eligibility for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam to become a registered dietitian nutritionist.
