  • Experience in intercollegiate XC/TF as a student-athlete and/or coach

Position Description:  The graduate assistant will serve as a director of operations to the XC/TF program in conjunction with completing required course work for the respective graduate degree program – Sport Administration. 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of operations
    • Securing hotel contracts, transportation reservations, per diem, meals, planning travel itineraries, etc. for team travel while staying within a prescribed budget
    • Managing expenses through the BGSU purchasing system and recording expenditures internally
    • Home meet management and planning
    • Travel to meets
  • Staff meetings
    • Attend, be prepared for, and contribute to weekly staff meetings
  • Recruiting
    • In collaboration with full-time coaching staff
  • Limited coaching
    • In collaboration with full-time coaching staff
  • Coordinating community service opportunities for the XC/TF team Assisting the full-time coaching staff with apparel and equipment orders

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties assigned by head XC/TF coach

Time Commitment:

  • Hours per week: 20 hours per week, hours may be outside "traditional" work times
  • All duties and tasks for the position occur in person on BGSU's main campus

Benefits/Compensation:

  • Stipend: $13,750 per academic year (for 20 hour per week assistantship)
