Qualifications/Preferred Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Sport Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, or other related field).
  • At least one year of sport industry experience in ticketing, marketing, or game operations.
  • Must be willing and able to work approximately 20-hours per week.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently on several projects in a fast paced, rigorous environment.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and Paciolan or other ticketing platforms is preferred.

Position Description:  

  • All duties and responsibilities of this position require on-campus presence.
  • Serve as the lead ticket operations for assigned sports.
  • Assist with ticket operations for all sports and special events.
  • Assist with sales for all ticketed sports and special events.
  • Setup and organize ticket sales windows for football, hockey, and events at the Stroh Center.
  • Manage ticket scanning devices and pedestals.
  • Schedule student employees (both ticket scanners and sales interns).
  • Learn best practices of sales techniques and tactics.
  • Utilization of Paciolan software, including SBClient/back office.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and effectively communicate all team happenings, events, and benefits relevant to assigned season ticket holder base.
  • Fulfillment of game day and advance ticket sales and distribution.
  • Assist in season ticket sales, renewals, and mailings.
  • Follow NCAA guidelines and be compliant when working player guest will call.
  • Work with other external departments to effectively promote and market BGSU Athletics with a strong emphasis revenue generation.
  • Provide assistance to the Ticket Operations Manager and Ticket Sales Coordinator.
  • Various other day-to-day activities of the ticket office as assigned.
  • Graduate Assistant will work all assigned athletic and special events, including all home football games and sport that they are the lead operations representative for.
