Qualifications/Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Word
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication/presentation skills, organizational & time- management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of APA, MLA, or Chicago Style format
- Other duties as assigned
Position Description:
Focus: Assists students completing theses and dissertations with processes related to manuscript formatting, accessibility, and OhioLINK submission. This position works in the Graduate College and primarily assists the Coordinator of Theses and Dissertation Services.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting graduate students with formatting their final manuscripts to meet requirements established by the Graduate Faculty, Graduate College, BGSU, and OhioLINK including compliance with accessibility standards.
- Engaging with graduate students both in person and online to provide guidance on use of available resources to ensure support throughout the process.
- Conducting the final review of submitted manuscripts.
- Works with the Coordinator in the development and delivery of regular workshops and presentations.
- Assists with other Graduate College programs and initiatives as needed, to support graduate student success including Graduate Student Appreciation Week, 3MT and 2MC competitions, and other events.
- Supports student-facing Graduate College operations to help maintain consistent service and coverage.
