Qualifications/Preferred Skills:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Acceptance into a graduate program at Bowling Green State University.
- Collegiate baseball playing, coaching or student-manager experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with video analysis and baseball technology tools (TrackMan, Synergy, True Media, etc.).
- Previous experience in recruiting or player development.
Position Description: The Baseball Graduate Assistant (GA) will support the daily operations of the Bowling Green State University baseball program. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in collegiate athletics, including coaching, player development, recruiting, and administrative responsibilities, while the candidate pursues a graduate degree at BGSU.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist coaching staff with planning and conducting practices, workouts, and game preparation.
- Support player development through skill instruction, video analysis, data analytics, and performance feedback.
- Analyze game and practice film using video software (e.g., Synergy, True Media, Trackman, and similar platforms).
- Assist with opponent scouting reports and game strategy preparation.
- Coordinate and execute recruiting efforts, including communication with prospective student-athletes.
- Help organize team travel itineraries, food orders, and practice logistics.
- Monitor academic progress and support student-athlete success.
- Assist with camps, clinics, and community engagement events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Assistant Coaches.
