Sponsorship Packages

The LEAPS (Learn, Explore, and Apply Professional Skills) Conference was developed and founded by two BGSU Schmidthorst College of Business students in 2022. The conference aims to develop the professional skills necessary for future workplace situations that are not taught in a traditional classroom setting: such as how to network with future employers, how to negotiate your first contract, how to use LinkedIn effectively, and much more.

Last year’s conference was the first large-scale event held in the Maurer Center that brought together over two hundred students, four faculty members, and eleven generous businesses. In a survey conducted after the conference, 100% of businesses involved believed they made a valuable connection they will use in the future, and 80% of students believed they made a valuable connection with employers. This year, we plan to host an even larger event – but to do so, we need your support.

Your support will be used to connect current BGSU Schmidthorst College of Business students with future employers, help them obtain priceless professional skills, and allow them to make valuable connections with peers that will last past graduation. However, to do so, the support of generous alumni and businesses is a necessity - as this conference is not lead or planned by experienced administrators, but rather a group of hard-working students that wish to learn and grow from these experiences. Whether your support takes shape in the form of event sponsorship or by sharing your skills and wisdom to the next generation of business leaders, the LEAPS Executive Board appreciates you.
