New staff strengthen student support, partnerships and online programs
The Schmidthorst College of Business has added two new staff members in roles that will support student engagement, external partnerships and online program success. Beth Ash and Jeremy Albrecht each bring valuable experience to the College and will contribute to its continued focus on serving students and building meaningful connections.
Beth Ash has joined the Schmidthorst College of Business as the new external relations and community engagement specialist.
A proud two-time BGSU alumna, Ash brings over 11 years of professional experience at the University to her new role. She will help strengthen connections among students, faculty, alumni, employers, industry leaders and community partners through guest speaking opportunities, classroom visits, career conversations, experiential learning projects, campus events and other collaborations.
“As a proud two-time BGSU alumna, I’m excited to continue serving the University in a role that connects students with the people and experiences that can shape their futures,” Ash said. “I look forward to working with our alumni, employers, industry leaders and community partners to create opportunities that support student success.”
Jeremy Albrecht has joined the Schmidthorst College of Business as the online graduate recruitment and retention advisor.
A BGSU alumnus, Albrecht earned a B.A. in history with minors in philosophy and classical civilizations and an M.A. in history from the University. His thesis, “Rome and Folklore: An Analysis of Roman Foundational Folklore,” received the 2019-20 Lawrence Friedman Award for outstanding graduate research.
Albrecht returns to BGSU after five years at Tiffin University, where he most recently served as manager of postgraduate admissions. In his new role, he will support students throughout the online program experience, from admissions through graduation.
“The chance to work with students throughout the entire process, from admissions all the way through graduation, is particularly exciting,” Albrecht said.
