Former Accounting and Information Systems Professor Passes Away
We are sad to report that Dr. Andreas Nicolaou, Professor Emeritus of Accounting and Information Systems, passed away in early September. He taught at BGSU from 2000 to 2016.
Dr. Nicolaou was selected for one of the most prestigious and competitive fellowship programs, the Fulbright Scholar Program where he conducted research at the University of Cyprus.
He published more than 50 research papers in various academic and professional journals. Dr. Nicolaou also received many tributes for his outstanding research, including selection as the Owens-Illinois Professor for BGSU’s College of Business and Best Paper Award in January 2012 by the American Accounting Association.
The former professor and former editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, specialized in management control and integrated information systems in inter-organizational alliances.
Services for Dr. Nicolaou will be held in late September in his native country of Cyprus.
