Business Students Attend Job Fair; Prepare With Business Career Day

job-fair-2014

More and more college students are focused on getting an internship, along with obtaining a full-time job after graduation. BGSU business students had a great opportunity to connect with recruiters at the 2014 Spring EXPO Job and Internship Fair.  Approximately 500 business students attended the job fair which accounted for 56% of total student attendees. One hundred and seventy-six employers had booths set up at Perry Field House with 75% of the companies focused on filling business-oriented positions.

The day prior to the job EXPO, business students were given assistance to successfully prepare for the job fair and learn more about business careers by attending Business Career Day, hosted by the College’s Business Career Accelerator.   Included in the events were two employer panels: "Advice & Best Practices for the Job/Internship Search" and "Young Alumni: What I Wish I Would Have Known as a Student.”" Concluding the job fair prep activities was a mock interview presentation with an employer giving two students feedback on their interview performance. A question and answer session with students attending the event wrapped up the day’s events.
