Art Supply Depo hosting photo exhibit by BGSU alumna

Bianca Garza’s ‘Test Plot’ questions our disconnect to the natural world

Art Supply Depo, 435 E. Wooster St. in Bowling Green, is hosting "Test Plot," a 13-photo exhibit by Bowling Green State University alumna Bianca Garza, a 2012 graduate in visual communication technology.  

“‘Test Plot’ is meant to serve as visual commentary regarding our society’s tendency to replace the real with the synthetic, and what we are beginning to lack because of it,” Garza said.  

Juxtaposing the natural with the manmade, the images of found objects are disturbing but subtle reminders of the impact that an over-industrialized society can have on the land, on soil health and thus, Garza says, on human health.

A closing reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 24. The exhibit will be on display until March 25.
