CRC Head Librarian invited to present at national conference

Colleen Boff, head librarian of the Curriculum Resource Center, presented at the prestigious Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) 2025 conference in Minneapolis, MN.

Boff's invited presentation explored the application of Kotter's 8-step model for leading change in academic libraries. The session built upon research conducted for the book "Leading Change in Academic Libraries," published by ACRL in 2020, which featured analysis from 20 selected authors who examined organizational changes through Kotter's framework.

During her presentation, Boff reviewed Kotter's model and demonstrated its practical applications for driving new initiatives, revitalizing stalled projects, and reflecting on past strategic directions to make future improvements. The interactive session invited audience participation, encouraging attendees to consider what changes they might implement in their own libraries in 2025.

With more than 25 years of experience in academic libraries, Boff brought significant expertise to her presentation. Her extensive leadership background includes roles as program coordinator, department chair, associate dean and head librarian of a specialized collection.

Currently, she supervises three full-time staff at the Curriculum Resource Center, which provides essential materials for education students and local teachers.
