Course Reserves
Place course materials on reserve to support your students’ access to essential readings and study aids. University Libraries offer reserve services through Jerome Library, the Browne Popular Culture Library, the Curriculum Resource Center, and the Music Library and Bill Schurk Sound Archives.
What you can put on reserve
- Library-owned books
- Personal or department-owned books and textbooks
- Study aids
- Audio and video
What you cannot put on reserve
- Items from other libraries (OhioLINK or ILL)
- Photocopied book chapters or articles
How to Place Items on Reserve
- Complete the Reserve Request Form
- Provide course details, item titles and call numbers (if applicable)
- Deliver personal materials to Jerome Library or send by mail
Submit your request at least one week in advance to ensure availability.

Avalon provides 24/7 streaming access to course-assigned audio and video content.
- All music/audio reserves are placed on Avalon unless otherwise specified.
- Video requests must follow Avalon Streaming Guidelines.
