Bio

Dr. Jackie Keen received her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She joined the BGSU faculty in 2021 and teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses here, including Introduction to Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, Interviewing and Observation, Law Enforcement, Corrections, and more.   

Her research interests include correctional rehabilitation and programming, community corrections, risk/needs assessments, gender-responsive strategies, and substance addiction pathways and treatment. Dr. Keen’s current research agenda focuses on improving safety in correctional institutions for staff and individuals who are incarcerated.
