Bio

Jacob “Jake” Morris is a Police Captain with the Lorain Police Department, where he has served since being hired in 2004. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of assignments and leadership roles, gaining extensive experience in law enforcement operations, supervision, investigations, and community engagement.

In addition to his law enforcement career, Captain Morris is a proud combat veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard, where he developed a strong foundation in discipline, leadership, and public service.

Captain Morris earned his Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University in 2017. He now serves as an adjunct instructor at BGSU, where he is committed to bridging real-world law enforcement experience with academic instruction, helping to prepare the next generation of criminal justice professionals.

In addition to his professional work, Jake is an adjunct professor at BGSU, where he teaches:
