Bio
Carly Snyder earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Edgewood University in Madison, Wisconsin, with minors in Sociology, Psychology, and Women’s and Gender Studies. She earned her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University in 2015. During her studies, she gained extensive internship experience with the Dane County (Wisconsin) Juvenile Detention Facility, the Madison (Wisconsin) Police Department Gang Unit, and the Wood County (Ohio) Prosecutor’s Office, where she assisted with criminal investigations.
From 2016 to 2023, Carly served as a police officer at Bowling Green State University. During her tenure, she worked as a patrol officer and held several specialized roles, including Officer in Charge, Crisis Intervention Coordinator, Field Training Officer, State Standardized Field Sobriety Test Instructor, and Drug Recognition Expert for the State of Ohio.
Carly currently works in the Office of the Dean of Students at Bowling Green State University as the Coordinator for Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution. In this role, she investigates a wide range of policy violations, including sexual assault, physical assault, threatening behavior, drug and alcohol violations, and hazing.
In addition to her professional work, Carly is an adjunct professor at BGSU, where she teaches:
