Testing Center Spring Hours

In  Center Testing: 230N

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:15 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The BGSU Firelands Testing Center provides secure test-proctoring services. Priority scheduling is given to students that receive academic accommodations through BGSU Accessibility Services for extended test time or a space with limited distractions. Faculty must identify all testing accommodations approved by Accessibility Services pertaining to testing on the test cover sheet for the test proctor to implement. Other requests for exam proctoring are handled individually (i.e. make-up exams, placement exams).

Please note that tests must be scheduled to be completed before the closing of the TLC. For example, if your instructor permits you two hours to complete your exam and you schedule your exam for 4:00 p.m., you will only have up to an hour to complete your exam (all tests are to be collected five minutes prior to closing).

A valid ID (your BGSU student ID or other official photo identification) is required to sit for the exam. Please be sure to arrive promptly for your appointment. Block testing students must check in ten minutes prior to their testing time in the TLC to sign in, lock up personal belongings, and receive testing instructions.  The end of a testing appointment cannot be extended without the instructor’s approval.

Please note, personal belongings (including digital devices such as glasses, watches, phones, rings, etc.) cannot be brought into the Testing Center for your exam. You will be provided with a lock and key and directed to the lockers in the TLC. All your belongings must be left in the locker except for anything that is noted on the exam as being permitted for the exam, and medical necessities approved by Accessibility Services (e.g., asthmatic inhaler, oxygen, EpiPen). Some approved accommodations, such as music, may not be permitted in block testing sessions as it could be a distraction to other testers.
