1. Activate Your BGSU account
You need to activate your BGSU account right away and check your BGSU email regularly and often. With your BGSU email and MyBGSU web portal access, you will be able to register for classes, view billing information, see your financial aid information and view your grades.
2. Meet With Your Advisor to Register for Classes
Your advisor will help you build your class schedule as part of your University Orientation. You can register for this one-on-one meeting by calling the Office of Academic and Career Counseling at 419-372-0886 or request an appointment online.
3. Finalize your plan to fund your education
Be sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for all financial aid opportunities for which you are eligible. BGSU and BGSU Firelands have the same Federal School Code: 003018. Additionally, our team is available for appointments to review your aid offer and help create your affordability plan.
4. Secure Textbooks and Other Required Course Materials
BGSU uses an online textbook platform to streamline the process for reviewing and purchasing required course materials.
5. Send Your Final Transcript
It is important for BGSU to have a full record of your previous educational experience. Be sure to send your final transcript directly to BGSU Firelands at the conclusion of the academic year at your current institution.
