Phil Bollin joined Bowling Green State University as an adjunct instructor in the Finance department in August of 2018. Mr. Bollin founded his own fee-only financial planning and wealth management firm in 2004. Mr. Bollin earned his Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2008. He received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan in 2000 and his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Detroit in 1993.
Mr. Bollin previously taught in the Finance department at the University of Toledo from 2016 until 2018. He also works with the Department of Defense to provide education and personal financial counseling to military service members around the Midwest. Mr. Bollin has published several financial planning articles in the Wall Street Journal Market Watch, Toledo Business Journal, Maumee Mirror and Toledo Business Review.
Prior to joining the financial services industry, Mr. Bollin worked in the Information Technology Management Consulting industry for Electronic Data Systems, Ernst & Young, and PriceWaterhouse Coopers. His current community involvement includes the position of President of the Rotary Club of Perrysburg for the 2019-2020 year, and serving on the Finance Committee for Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, OH. He has served on various business, community, school and church boards in the past and has coached youth athletics including softball, volleyball and basketball. Mr. Bollin currently serves as Notre Dame Academy's varsity softball announcer and scorekeeper.
