BGSU Supply Chain Team Victorious at GM/Wayne State Case Competition

SupplyChainCaseCompetitionWinners-Trophy

Champions of the 2019 General Motors/Wayne State Supply Chain Competition are the BGSU team of Brock Wilson, Brianna Finger, Gloria Souter, and Rachael Sattler. They competed against students from many of the other top supply chain programs by preparing a supply chain business case based on real problems faced by General Motors and their tier one suppliers.

The BGSU team beat out twenty-four other teams from universities around the world to earn the Championship Title. This competition has the reputation of matching some of the best and brightest supply chain students against each other.

According to Dr. Bill Sawaya, chair of the management department and co-advisor for the team, one of the judges commented the BGSU team’s presentation might be the best that he had seen in all the years of the event.

Dr. Sawaya adds, “This speaks volumes about both the quality of students at BGSU and their hard work on this competition as well as the quality of the faculty throughout the College of Business that prepare students for success.”

Congratulations to the team and their faculty co-advisors, Dr. Jan Hartley and Dr. Sawaya!
