Supply Chain Organization continues to earn APICS Award for Excellence
Achieving Platinum status three years in a row is a daunting feat for collegiate supply chain chapters, but this is the seventh consecutive Platinum award for the BGSU chapter, keeping it among the top ten chapters in the world.
At the joint BGSU-APICS Toledo Supply Chain Management Institute dinner on September 26, Bruce Brechin presented Supply Chain Management Association students with their seventh consecutive Platinum award for outstanding chapter management. In 2016, only eight of the 240 APICS-affiliated chapters reached this level. The Platinum award reflects five years at the gold level, which BGSU has maintained since 2005.
APICS scholars are selected based on their leadership and engagement to represent their student chapters to learn more about APICS, networking with other student leaders and supply chain professionals. Four students attended the APICS conference: Katherine Eboch, Cody Manger, Sam Sarkissian and Ryan Adkins, along with Professor Karen Eboch.
Professor Eboch credits the award to a team effort of student officers, chapter members, Department of Management and College of Business faculty and staff. Dr. Janet Hartley, management professor, co-advises SCMA.
