‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ author highlights Literacy in the Park
Children’s author Laura Numeroff, best known for her "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie," "If You Give A Pig a Pancake" and "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" series, is the featured presenter at the 2015 Literacy in the Park event on Saturday (April 11) at the Stroh Center.
The free, literacy-focused event for families takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will offer hands-on literacy activities, interactive technology games, special prizes, crafts and much more.
The areas of literacy that will be addressed at the various booths include digital, emotional environmental, financial, musical, numeracy, nutrition, physical education, reading, visual, world languages and writing.
Each family will receive a bag with a free book by the author, while supplies last. Numeroff’s presentation will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Literacy in the Park is made possible by the generosity of the Joseph and Judith Conda Family of Perrysburg, the BGSU College of Education and Human Development and the BGSU School of Teaching and Learning.
Registration is suggested to save time the day of the event, but it is not required. Find more information or preregister.
