Whether you’re integrating archival materials into your teaching or looking to strengthen your students' research skills, we’re here to help.

Instructional Services We Offer

Research Instruction

Teach students how to conduct effective research using a variety of discovery tools and techniques, including library databases, catalog records, digital collections and archival finding aids.

Information and Primary Source Literacy Skills

Cover essential skills such as:

  • Source evaluation and proper citation practices
  • Visual literacy
  • Materiality and context of cultural objects
  • Ethical considerations related to access and use of sources
  • Theoretical concepts such as evidence, authenticity, historical empathy, absences and privilege
