BGSU presents unconventional view of Martin Luther King in ‘The Mountaintop’

The BGSU Department of Theatre and Film opens its 2014-15 season with “The Mountaintop,” a re-imagination of the events the night before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in Memphis, Tenn. Jim Sherraden of Hatch Show Prints to speak at BGSU

Master printer Jim Sherraden will visit Bowling Green State University Sept. 29 to discuss his award-winning career and recent work with Hatch Show Print. As part of the event, BGSU School of Art faculty and students will unveil a typeface they have created for Hatch, one of America’s oldest letterpress poster and design shops. STEM in the Park, a family day of hands-on fun, returns to Bowling Green State University on Sept. 27. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Perry Field House and features everything from sea creatures to pop rockets, take-home STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities and a complimentary lunch from Tony Packo’s.
