  • Mar 22, 2017 3:18 PM BGSU Opera Theater brings Kurt Weill’s ‘Street Scene’ to Donnell stage
    Northwest Ohio audiences will get to see a rare area production of Kurt Weill’s operatic masterpiece “Street Scene” March 24 and 26. BGSU’s Opera Theater will produce the piece with the help of a $10,000 grant from the Kurt Weill Foundation.

    Undergraduate researchers won awards for their projects related to diversity at the second annual Undergraduate Symposium on Diversity March 21, hosted by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship. Their research topics ranged from Medicare recipients to the impact of black women’s hairstyles on job attainment.

On March 18, 10 alumni were honored for their contributions at the College Alumni Awards. Alumni were chosen to represent each of the University’s colleges, highlighting the diverse disciplines of a comprehensive university.

    It often seems that environmentalism and capitalism are mutually exclusive, but is there a way the two can coexist and even promote common goals? Award-winning author Hunter Lovins says there is. She will present “Creating a ‘Regenerative Economy’ to Transform Global Finance into a Force for Good” as this year’s Lamb Peace Lecturer at the University.
