Labor Day Weekend Golf Special
August 29 - September 1, Forrest Creason Golf Course
This weekend only, come out to the Forret Creason Golf Course on campus and rent clubs and golf 18 holes for $15 a day. A tee time is required. Check out www.bgsugolf.com for more information!
Welcome Week Bike Tour
9 a.m.-11:30 a.m., BG Montessori School, 515 Sand Ridge Road
Students will be escorted through the Slippery Elm Trail via a bike tour beginning at the BG Montessori School. Students who do not have a bicycle will be provided one for the day. The bike tour will ride 6 smiles of the trail and will end with a provided lunch at the trail entrance (outside the Montessori school). Registration is required before the event. Sponsored by the Office of Campus Sustainability.
Cedar Point Bus Trip
9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Cedar Point, Sandusky, OH
Want to go to Cedar Point? Buy a discounted ticket (transportation included) at the Information Desk in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union by noon on Friday, August 29th. The shuttle will leave from BGSU on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Students must purchase a ticket from the Information Desk in order to travel on the shuttle. Sponsored by the Office of New Student Orientation and First Year Programs and the University Activities Organization.
BGSU Volleyball vs. Middle Tennessee
12 p.m., Stroh Center
BGSU Volleyball welcomes Middle Tennessee to the Stroh Center for game two of the BGSU Invitational. Student admission is FREE to all home volleyball matches.
First Flight Leadership Conference
1 – 5 p.m., Olscamp 101
First Flight Leadership Conference is a leadership conference designed specifically for first year students. First year students should come learn how to make the most of their college experience and learn from some of BGSU's most engaged and prominent student leaders. Be a News Reporter now. Meet student reporters and editors who create the BG News newspaper. Student reporters cover the campus, the city, entertainment, sports and other beats. Join us for this great “real world” experience!
Jumpstart Your Journalism Career
1 – 5 p.m., West Hall, Room 310
With the changing nature of journalism making itself known more every year, it's sometimes hard to keep up. The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) aims to help students develop the skills that will help them make this industry transition, and you'll make friends along the way! Every month, we discuss topics ranging from ethics, law, journalistic techniques and everything in between. Come join SPJ and get ahead of the curve!
h2o Dodgeball Tournament
2 p.m., Perry Field House
Come by yourself or bring a team. This co-ed dodgeball tournament will be full of heated competition, fun, and great prizes for the final teams standing! This event is free and open to all students.
Club Jerome Bash!
4 - 8 p.m., Jerome Library Lawn
Join your fellow students at The Club Jerome Bash for fre food, games, giveaways, LIVE DJ, and more more! Plus, tour the William T. Jerome Library and the internationally certified Learning Commons.
