Mike 'Doc' Emrick '76 wins fifth Emmy
Mike "Doc" Emrick, who earned his doctoral degree from BGSU in Radio-TV Film in 1976 and leads NBC Sports' NHL broadcast team, won his fourth consecutive Emmy Award and fifth in seven years in May 2017 for Outstanding Sports Personality-Play by Play. Emrick returned to the University in February to help celebrate the Ice Arena's 50th anniversary and shared some of his experiences in this interview.

Bowling Green welcomed its newest falcons to town April 22 and 23, 2017. Two of the four Peregrine Falcon eggs hatched April 22 in the clock tower of the Wood County Courthouse. The first view of a hatched egg was around 8 p.m. on the Falcon Cam, which is provided by a partnership between the Wood County Commissioners and Bowling Green State University. Watch Live

Daniel Bayot grew up in an abundantly musical family on the island of Oahu. Bayot’s father is a full-time professional musician and Bruno Mars is his cousin. Bayot took voice lessons throughout his four years at BGSU and graduated with a 3.713 GPA and a Bachelor of Arts in music composition.

Bowling Green State University aviation major Tyler Brezina and two of his friends from high school are canoeing the entire 981 miles of the Ohio River in memory of their classmate who committed suicide. They started their trip in Pittsburgh, and will finish in Cairo, Illinois.
