Time and date of the final class and exam is based on time and day of the first class meeting during the semester. Similarly, a class with a first meeting time at 4:00pm on Tuesday is scheduled for their final class and examination at 3:00pm on Monday, May 13, 2019.

Students should check their Student Center on MyBGSU for exam time and room just before the end of the semester

Spring Final Exam Week - 3 Hour Lecture Class
Last Week of Class with Final Exam - 4 Hour Lecture Classes
Last Week of Class with Final Exam - 5 Hour Lecture Classes

Instructors shall administer final exams at the times scheduled for that purpose, except with specific permission from the Provost and Senior Vice President. No permission from the Office of the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs (VPAA) is required in order to provide a make-up examination for one or two students on the grounds of conflict or other urgent reasons for being absent from the final examination.

*Time and date of the final class and exam is based on time and day of the first class meeting during the semester. Courses with multiple components should use the primary component’s first class meeting to determine exam date and time. For example, a class with a first meeting time in a week at 10:30am on Monday is scheduled for their final class and examination from 8:00-10:30am on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Similarly, a class with a first meeting time at 4:00pm on Tuesday is scheduled for their final class and examination at 3:00pm on Monday, May 13, 2019.

Courses less than 3 credit hours should adjust the length of the exam time. For example, a one credit hour class that meets for the first time on Monday at 10:30am would have their exam on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 8-9am.

• For classes starting at a time not listed above, students should consult with their instructor to establish an ideal meeting time for the final exam and then instructor should contact Registration & Records to schedule a room.
• Students should check their Student Center on MyBGSU for exam time and room just before the end of the semester.
• To avoid three or more final examinations on the same day, students may want to consider the final exam schedule when enrolling in courses. If a student finds they have two or more exams on the same date and time, they should work with the faculty to accommodate their exam conflicts.
• Instructors with exam conflicts should contact Dr. John Fischer, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs to arrange for an alternative date and time.
