College Deans/Dean's Designees

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to faculty developing curriculum proposals.
• Ensure that curriculum proposals align with college priorities.
• Evaluate resource implications and feasibility of proposals, given college funding and staffing levels.
• Serve as last point of approval before proposals move to Undergraduate Council or Graduate Council.

Guiding Questions:

Proposers should be consulting with their Dean’s office throughout the process of developing a curriculum proposal. Deans may have additional questions and concerns based on their unique knowledge of how their colleges function and how various units interact with one another. The questions below represent the general questions Deans may consider as they evaluate proposals for approval.
