The University Libraries offers individual consultations and group workshops on scholarly communication topics, including copyright, open access, journal credibility, and open educational resources.

If you have questions about using copyrighted materials in the classroom or in your own publications, book a consultation with us. We also can help if you have questions about your rights as an author.

Publishing

You can use ScholarWorks, the university’s repository and publishing platform, to promote your scholarly publications, publish an open access journal, or host a BGSU-affiliated conference. Contact Emily Gattozzi, Scholarly Communication Strategist, at emilydg@bgsu.edu to get started.

OhioLINK Agreements

The following read & publish agreements negotiated by OhioLINK provide opportunities for you to publish open access.

Cambridge University Press

Corresponding authors affiliated with BGSU can publish their articles open access in Cambridge University Press journals at no cost to themselves or the university. For more details about eligibility requirements, visit OhioLINK’s Cambridge Journals 2022-2024 Open Access Publishing: Information for Authors page. This agreement continues through December 31, 2024. 

Institute of Physics

Corresponding authors affiliated with BGSU can publish their articles open access in Institute of Physics (IOP) journals at no cost to themselves or the university. For more details about eligibility requirements, visit OhioLINK’s IOP Journals Open Access Publishing: Information for Authors page. This agreement continues through December 31, 2025.

Wiley

Corresponding authors affiliated with BGSU can publish their articles open access in Wiley’s 1,400 hybrid journals. For more details about eligibility requirements, visit OhioLINK’s Wiley OA Publishing: Information for Authors page. This agreement continues through December 31, 2023.
