For Your Publishing

The University Libraries Scholarly Communication and Open Educational Resources (SCOER) team offers individual consultations and group workshops on scholarly communication topics, including copyright, open access, journal credibility, and open educational resources.

If you have questions about using copyrighted materials in the classroom or in your own publications, book a consultation with us. We also can help if you have questions about your rights as an author.

You can use ScholarWorks, the university’s repository and publishing platform, to promote your scholarly publications, publish an open access journal, or host a BGSU-affiliated conference. Contact Emily Gattozzi, Scholarly Communication Strategist, at to get started.

Open Access (OA)

We can help you find open access (OA) materials for your courses or learn more about publishing your work OA.

OhioLINK Agreements

OhioLINK has negotiated agreements with Cambridge, Elsevier, IOP, Springer, and Wiley that allow BGSU-affiliated authors to publish open access at no cost to the authors and no additional cost to the university. To read more about each agreement, visit OhioLINK’s Open Access for Authors page.
