Fines and Fees
Late fees accumulate hourly or daily, depending on the item type. Charges go to the Bursar's Office weekly and can be paid through MyBGSU. For items declared lost, you'll be charged the cost of replacing the item, plus a $36 processing fee. If you return the item within a year, we'll refund the replacement cost and part of the processing fee.
If you've lost or damaged an item, let us know right away at circdesk@bgsu.edu or 419-372-2051.
Library Notices
Watch for emails from circdesk@bgsu.edu about:
- Due date receipts (sent right after checkout)
- Pickup notifications (items held for 10 days)
- Courtesy reminders (3 days before due date)
- Overdue notices
- Billing notices
For Interlibrary Loan items, you'll get notices from notices@e.worldcat.org.
Feel free to reply to any automated notice - staff will respond within 24 hours.
