Founders Renovation: Honors Student Hub
Great spaces spark great ideas. This upcoming phase of the Founders Hall renovation brings a reimagined student hub tailored specifically to the evolving needs of high-achieving scholars in the Honors College. Designed to be versatile, the new suite will provide the ultimate launchpad for academic collaboration, creative projects, and career development.
Student Hub Features
Adaptable Group Workspaces: Dedicated conference areas of varying sizes built for seamless teamwork and brainstorming.
Private Interview & Virtual Hubs: Sound-dampened "Zoom Rooms" featuring clean visual backgrounds for professional, graduate school, and internship interviews.
Dynamic Programming Layouts: Flexible tabling and modular setups to host everything from academic showcases to guest lectures.
Smarter Work Environments: A quiet, comfortable atmosphere shared with motivated peers, upgraded to handle peak study hours without the squeeze.
"As an Honors student, having access to a quiet, comfortable environment surrounded by highly motivated, hardworking peers is essential. Having access to more group conference tables would give more students access to a convenient location to work on group projects. One thing I almost always struggle with is finding a private room that is appropriate to use for an interview. Implementing “Zoom Rooms” would make planning virtual meetings and interviews less stressful, knowing I have a room in Founders that I am welcome to use."
