Register for classes
Registration opens at 7 a.m. on your registration date.
Adding your classes to your shopping cart in MyBGSU does not mean you have registered! You still have to finalize your registration when your registration day arrives.
- Register as soon as possible. More students gain access to the system every day. The earlier you register, the more options will be available.
- You may register or change your schedule any time after your start date while registration is open.
- Remember that if you have a hold on your account, you won’t be able to register.
- Summer registration opens for everyone on the same day. Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so more course offerings will be available the earlier you register.
Get started
If you haven’t chosen your classes yet, begin by searching for available courses.
Keep in mind that if you’ve added classes to your cart ahead of time, some may have filled up before it’s your turn to register. If that happens, you’ll need to search again and select a different class.
Once your shopping cart is complete, you’re ready to finalize your registration.
Late registration
After the term begins, you may register for classes in which space is still available. A late registration fee may be assessed to any student who registers after the first day of the semester. No student entering after the first week of a term is permitted to register without permission of the dean of the college in which they are enrolled.
