The Sandusky Promise: Federal Pell Grant-eligible students who graduate from Sandusky High School in 2024 and enroll at BGSU Firelands will receive a scholarship that covers the balance of their instructional and general fees for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters after Federal Pell is applied.

The Next Steps Award: SHS Students for S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Sandusky Career Center and 22+ Adult High School Diploma program graduates will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters.

BGSU wants you to achieve your goals. Complete these steps to be eligible for these scholarships: 

  • Graduate from Sandusky High School in spring 2023 with a high school GPA of 2.0 or higher 
  • Enroll for 12 to 18 credit hours in an associate degree program on the BGSU Firelands campus in Huron for the fall 2023 semester 
  • Have classification as an Ohio resident for tuition purposes 
  • Have eligibility to receive the Federal Pell Grant as determined through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
