'Learning to Lead' series begins July 11

“Learning to Lead,” a free professional development series presented by Impact Solutions and offered by the Office of Human Resources, kicks off Monday (July 11). All BGSU employees are invited to participate and those who complete the series will receive a certificate.

The first topic is “Dealing with Difficult People,” led by Jinger Moore. The session will be held at BGSU Firelands, at 3:30 p.m. Monday in 163N Allied Health Building.

Next up is “Working with Diverse Populations,” led by Thomas O’Reilly, at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 17 in 308 Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

“Conflict Resolution,” with Molly Tyson, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in 308 Union.

The last session, “Developing Resilience and Managing Change,” will be presented by Pat Schultz and begin at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in 315 Union.

Professional development BGBookBag Club continues

The BGBookBag Professional Development Book Club continues this month with “Awaken the Giant Within,” by Anthony Robbins. Meetings are July 14 and July 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in 104 Huntington Building.

In August, the club will read “The Dream Manager” and “Off Balance,” by Matthew Kelly. Meetings are August 11 and August 25, same place and time.
