Program Costs
You cannot find a more affordable study abroad program in German anywhere, and many scholarships are available. Our team at BGSU is dedicated to helping you find support to make your journey as affordable as possible.
Program costs include:
Accommodation
Included. For a semester $1900 will be paid directly to student housing.
International Health Insurance
Instructional fees
All included. 170 Euro will be payed to the University of Salzburg.
Cultural events, concerts, and theater
Salzburg is the stage of the world. Experience world-class classical music, jazz festivals – enjoy theater performances in the heart of the city.
Weekly local field trips
We offer almost every weekend a cultural event or educational trip. Discover the vibrant local culture of the Salzburger Land, hike in the most beautiful mountains, learn about the every-day-life of Austrians.
Group excursions, to Vienna, Berlin, and Krakau (Auschwitz)
When we are on the trip the travel costs, accommodations, and one full meal per day will be covered.
What is not included in program costs:
- U.S. and Trans-Atlantic transportation
- Room and board before and after the official program dates
- Passport fees
- Books and supplies
- Personal travel while in Europe
- Other expenses like the International ID card.
Financial aid
Because this exchange program is part of Bowling Green State University study abroad options, financial aid that could be applied to study on BGSU’s main campus can usually be applied equally to study in the program abroad.
