Congratulations!

Based on your outstanding high school performance, you are part of a select group of students chosen to compete in the Honors College Awards Competition Weekend. The competition weekend will take place Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1, and will include an Honors College Exploration Day, an Honors College Awards Reception and your interview experience. Please RSVP for the competition weekend on or before Jan. 22, 2025.

Honors College Exploration Day & Awards Competition Weekend

Check-in & Exhibitor Area open at 1 p.m.; Formal Program begins at 2 p.m.

Dress - Casual  

Spend the afternoon exploring all that BGSU and the Honors College has to offer. Students and guests will be able to visit the exhibitor area to connect with representatives from Student Financial Aid, Education Abroad, Club Sports and more. Then, guests will spend time in sessions to learn more about the Honors College, tour the Honors Learning Communtiy and join a mock class experience.

Immediately following Honors College Exploration Day, 4:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Dress - Casual

At this reception, we look forward to celebrating you and your accomplishments while preparing for your interview on Saturday. Enjoy dinner and time with current Honors scholars, BGSU faculty and staff. You will hear from two Honors College scholarship recipients, the Dean of the Honors College and BGSU's University President.

Students will receive their interview time at the conclusion of the reception.

Your interview time slot between 8 a.m and 4 p.m will be provided at the reception on Friday.

Required event 

Dress - Business Professional

Students will interview, but guests are welcome to come to the Honors College to be with students before and after the interview. Light refreshments and a lounge area will be provided in the Honors College Den.

Your formal interview will be with a panel - a member of the Honors College staff, a current Honors College Award student and an alumni representative.
