Dean of BGSU Firelands Search

As was previously announced, Dean Andrew Kurtz is soon completing his tenure as the dean of BGSU Firelands, upon which he will return to faculty. We would like to thank Dean Kurtz for all his hard work and dedication to the Firelands campus community as we look forward to his continued service as faculty.

The search for the next dean of BGSU Firelands is commencing. RH Perry & Associates, a national executive search firm, has been retained to lead the search. Firelands faculty, chairs and directors, staff and other constituents are invited to participate in this process.

There will be two virtual forums held for faculty and two for staff, on April 26 and May 5. You will receive an invitation to the virtual Zoom forum via email. We also invite you to complete the survey linked below, which goes directly to the RH Perry consultants. The collected information will support the development of an executive search profile that will serve as the blueprint for marketing the position and recruiting and evaluating candidates.

The profile, a list of committee members and other relevant search information will be available soon on a dedicated webpage. The goal is to have the next dean of BGSU Firelands in place by Jan. 1, 2024.
