SMART Scholarship

The SMART Scholarship Program is for students pursuing a degree in STEM disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be employed with the Department of Defense upon graduation. Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship

The Rangel Program seeks individuals from all fields who are interested in foreign policy and careers in the State Department Foreign Service. The Program provides a summer enrichment program for undergraduates and funding for graduate school. Visit the website for more information.

Pasteur Foundation Undergraduate Internships

The Pasteur Foundation of New York encourages students to pursue scientific careers and expose them to an international laboratory experience during a 10-week summer internship. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and should have working knowledge of French. Visit the website for more information.

Overseas Press Club Foundation Scholarships

The Overseas Press Club Foundation sponsors a scholarship for students interested in becoming foreign correspondents. The scholarship pays for travel and living expenses and provides an internship at foreign bureaus. Herbert Scoville Peace and Security Fellowship

The Scoville Program offers students the opportunity to work in Washington D.C. for 6-9 months with nonprofit, and public interest groups addressing peace and security issues. Prior experience with public-interest activism or advocacy is desirable. Visit the website for more information.

Henry Clay Internship

The Henry Clay Internship is open to students at Kentucky colleges and universities who wish to pursue a career in public service for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Each intern receives a stipend for living expenses in Washington during the summer internship. Visit the website for more information.

French Internship

The Lexington Sister Cities Commission offers students from Lexington to gain professional experience through an internship in France. Benefits include a placement for internship, living arrangements, and some compensation. Applicants must be 18 years old, have good knowledge of French, and be available to be abroad for 2 months. Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scholarship program provides applicants with awards up to $8,000 per year for full time study and a 10-week internship in the summer for training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, and education.
