Give a parent or guardian access

  • Use Access BGSU to share important information – like your financial aid details – with a parent, guardian or other trusted person.

Complete student loan requirements

  • Federal loan borrowers are required to complete their entrance counseling and master promissory note at studentaid.gov beginning May 1. Submit any outstanding documents between May 1 and June 30 so your financial aid is ready to be applied toward your fall bill.

Consider a Parent PLUS loan

  • Parents interested in applying for the Parent PLUS loan should complete the application in July at studentaid.gov after they have received and reviewed the estimated bill owed to BGSU. Parents will need their studentaid.gov username and password. A credit check will be performed, and the results will be electronically sent to BGSU for processing. Once approved, parents will also be required to complete their master promissory note at studentaid.gov.

Send final transcripts

  • BGSU will request a final high school transcript from your high school counseling office on your behalf. If it is not received by June 30, you will be notified and will need to contact your high school directly for them to send it to the Office of Admissions. If you have completed any college-level courses in high school, you will need to request an official transcript to be sent to BGSU from the college or university in which you enrolled, even if the courses are listed on your high school transcript.

Submit payments and funding

  • Submit your local scholarship checks, 529 payments or any other third-party funding prior to the billing due date.

How to submit outside scholarship checks

Other payments should be made payable to BGSU and addressed to the Office of the Bursar if sending payment by mail:

    Office of the Bursar
    1001 E. Wooster St.
    Bowling Green, OH 43403-0100

Please include the student ID number on the check, and provide any terms and conditions that come with the funding.

Pay your bill

  • Visit the Bursar’s website to learn how to submit payment and explore payment options like the installment plan that allows you to divide your semester bill into four payments.
