Description
This course delivers advanced training in firefighter survival and rapid intervention techniques, designed to make you an indispensable asset to your crew.
You’ll sharpen your ability to perform both self-rescue and the rescue of fellow firefighters through hands-on, scenario-based instruction. Training covers critical topics such as:
- Roles and responsibilities within a rapid intervention team (RIT)
- Advanced search techniques
- Gaining access and performing extrication
- Multiple methods of self-rescue
- Locating and removing downed firefighters from complex environments
Prerequisite: FF 1 (36 hour level students accepted at Instructor’s discretion)
Students must bring Complete SCBA and Turn Out Gear
You will be challenged to think critically and creatively in high-stress situations. Our goal is to prepare you to respond with confidence, operate with precision, and elevate your value as both a firefighter and team member.
