Regarding Reporting of Nonrenewable Faculty Positions
Memorandum of Understanding
WHEREAS, Bowling Green State University (the “University”) and the Bowling Green State University Faculty Association – AAUP (“BGSU-FA”) (collectively, the “Parties”) have agreed to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CBA”) setting the terms and conditions of employment for Bargaining Unit Faculty Members (“BUFM”);
WHEREAS, the CBA sets out standards for evaluating faculty, policies pertaining to evaluating faculty, and other working conditions of faculty;
WHEREAS, employment of BUFM in TTF and renewable QRF positions is preferred; and
WHEREAS, circumstances may warrant employment of BUFM in nonrenewable positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, the University and the BGSU-FA agree as follows:
- During the contract period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027, the Office of the Provost shall provide to the BGSU-FA an annual report of all nonrenewable faculty positions and the rationale for the nonrenewable faculty positions.
- The annual report of nonrenewable faculty positions will be due to the BGSU-FA by September 20th.
