Dr. Ellise Nolan, LPC, NCC (she/they) is an Assistant Professor at Bowling Green State University as well as the practicum and internship field site coordinator. Dr. Nolan’s favorite courses to teach at BGSU so far are Clinical Internship, Crisis Counseling and Mental and Emotional Disorders. Dr. Nolan’s research agenda involves understanding how relational factors in counselor education influence holistic counselor development, exploring and promoting counselor wellness and integrating allyship into counseling and teaching. Dr. Nolan also has a passion for involving spirituality in counseling and served as President for the Ohio Association for Spiritual, Ethical and Religious Values in Counseling for the 2021-2022 year. Dr. Nolan lives in Toledo, Ohio, enjoying Zen meditation, long distance running, and all things seasonal, especially decor, food and weather.
