I was recently promoted to Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of California San Francisco Medical Center. I am Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery. I am the Chief of Hand, Elbow and Upper Extremity Surgery. I am Program Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship. I Co-founded a non-profit organization called The Perry Initiative. The mission of our organization is to encourage young women to pursue careers in Orthopaedic Surgery and engineering, 2 fields where women and minorities are underrepresented. We have hands-on programs in 54 cities nationwide and have published impact papers in peer reviewed journals.

After getting my BS and MS in the Biology Department I went on to get my PhD in Ecology at the University of California Davis. I'm now adjunct faculty at Rice University. I am co-authoring a book on emerging technologies called "Soonish: Ten Emerging Technologies That'll Improve And/Or Ruin Everything." The Biology Department at BGSU did a wonderful job of preparing me for a career in science and science communication. THANK YOU!

I retired from federal service having served as the Director of Voluntary Education for the Marine Corps in Asia and the National Director of Voluntary Education for the U.S. Coast Guard. After retirement my wife, Toby, and I relocated back to Ohio from Washington D.C. and founded TAB Education Partners. Our company primarily works in STEM Education with a specialty in FAB Labs for K-12, Colleges and Corporations. I consider my four years at BGSU as foundational to all I have achieved. I made lifelong friends and we still annually come to BGSU for Homecoming.

Linda A. Marshall '64, Dayton, Ohio, penned a compelling medical-mystery memoir titled "A Long Awakening to Grace" which was introduced at the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation conference in San Francisco in September 2017. Marshall donated 100% of the proceeds from the September conference sale of her memoir and continues to donate a portion of the proceeds from ongoing sales to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation.

I retired from the US Air Force as a Major after 26 years in service on Jan 1, 2017. I was posted throughout the world including Naples, Italy; Kabul, Afghanistan, Abilene, Texas, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Pristina, Kosovo; Washington D.C. and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My Falcon Flame is the Consular Chief in Maseru, Lesotho and after following me around the world as I worked for the US Air Force, I am the one following her. We enjoy living in unique places around the world and sharing them with our 15-year-old son, Ben.

Tyler our son is a Computer Science major at BG. 3 generation Falcons.

40 years after graduating from BGSU in December 1976, I am retiring from BGSU!! I have worked for the university 13.5 years as an Administrative Secretary in both the Office of the Vice Pres. for Student Affairs and the Department of Recreation and Wellness. Major accomplishments include coordinating Commencement from 2003-2008, serving on Classified Staff Council from 2008-2016, Chair of CSC 2012-13, and was the recipient of the 2016 BGSU Outstanding Service Award for Classified Staff.

The Board of Directors of Responsive Caregivers of Hawaii (RCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new President and CEO to lead the non-profit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Marsh joins RCH with over 22 years chief executive, fund development, government affairs, community development and civil rights advocacy experience, most recently as CEO of the Toledo Fair Housing Center in Toledo, Ohio. "My life has been devoted to issues of equity, opportunity, and diversity and my academic, personal, and professional experiences have prepared me for my new role at RCH as we work to expand opportunities and create meaningful life experiences for individuals with intellectual disabilities,” stated Mr. Marsh. Mr. Marsh graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BS in Journalism (cum laude) in 1994 and a Master of Arts in American Culture Studies in 1996.

Was a board member of Presbyterian Senior Services in New York City for 15 years. While on the board, we built the first housing in New York State for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. This building has been a national model for housing for kinship families across the country. My older brothers, James Flickinger and John Fluckinger, also attend BGSU in the 1970s. We all feel our education has served us well.

I am just about ready to celebrate two years as the Director of Development with Wood Lane Residential Services. I am blessed to work with the developmental and intellectually disabled community on a daily basis. I met my wife Jodi (Brubaker) Anderson in quantitative statistics class at BGSU. She was my tutor to help me get through the class and here we are married for 18 years. She is truly my Falcon Flame and we have planted our roots in BG. We also founded together the Heart of BG Project which currently has placed 11 AED's in local businesses throughout Bowling Green.

In October, I was inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall-of-Fame. I received my Masters degree in Speech Communications in 1983. I've spent the past 27 years as the play-by-play broadcaster of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in the Pacific Coast League. Go Falcons!
