In 2027, the Falcon Marching Band will take the national stage in Pasadena. Help send nearly 500 students to represent BGSU at one of the most iconic events in the world.
The Bowling Green State University Falcon Marching Band has been selected to perform in the 2027 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California – an invitation extended to only a select few university bands nationwide following a highly competitive process.
On New Year’s Day, millions will watch as BGSU turns Colorado Boulevard orange and brown for the first time in University history.
For our students, this is more than a performance. It’s a defining moment – part of what makes BGSU the No. 1 public university in Ohio for student experience.
This opportunity provides:
National exposure on one of the world’s biggest stages
A transformative travel and performance experience
Lifelong memories and pride in representing BGSU
For many students, this will be the highlight of their college experience.
Help every Falcon get there
The Falcon Marching Band is expected to include nearly 500 student musicians, making it one of the largest collegiate bands in the country.
Participation in the Rose Parade is self-funded by each student, covering travel, lodging and related expenses.
Without support, cost can limit who is able to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
That’s why BGSU has launched a fundraising effort to help reduce the financial burden and ensure more students can go. Your gift directly supports Falcon Marching Band students by:
Offsetting individual travel costs
Expanding access for students with financial need
Ensuring the band represents the full spirit and diversity of BGSU
Every contribution moves us closer to a full band in Pasadena.
Our students earned this honor, and they will represent BGSU on one of the most watched stages in the world. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for them and an unforgettable moment for our entire community.
